Sex & Violence Returns to OUTtv for Third Season on September 17th at 10pm

VANCOUVER, BC – SEPTEMBER 5, 2017 – OUTtv today announced the return of the popular drama series Sex & Violence for its third season, starting on September 17th at 10pm ET/PT.  The series chronicles the struggles of a social worker, a victims’ advocate, a police officer and others who provide support to victims of violence while also trying to maintain their own chaotic lives.  One of OUTtv’s most popular and talked about series, Sex & Violence is created and directed by Thom Fitzgerald (The Hanging GardenCloudburst). The series has won two ACTRA Awards, a Screen Nova Scotia Award, and received multiple Canadian Screen Award and Writers Guild of Canada nominations.

The second season of Sex & Violence ended with Roach’s arrest and the serial killer being revealed but evading arrest. In the third season, the team helps support a small community as they deal with the aftermath of a school shooting, while other crimes emerge that fit the pattern of the Halifax serial killer.

Sex & Violence is a powerful, character-driven series that has connected with the audience,” said Brad Danks, CEO of OUTtv Network.  “Thom’s storytelling is deeply moving and we are proud that OUTtv is the television home of this ground-breaking series.  The creative evolution of this series has been remarkable. We look forward to bringing a new season of Sex & Violence to our viewers.”

“It’s very gratifying to delve deeper into these flawed heroes who struggle to help victims of violence and sometimes go too far,” said Thom Fitzgerald.  “Jennie Raymond and Jackie Torrens are doing breathtaking work on the show.”

An OUTtv original series, Sex & Violence is produced by Emotion Pictures and executive produced by Emotion Pictures’ Thom Fitzgerald, Olympia Dukakis and Doug Pettigrew and OUTtv’s Brad Danks and Philip Webb.  The first two seasons of Sex & Violence are available to stream on, and more information about the series is available at
