Charlie David plans his big gay wedding in Vancouver, British Columbia. This includes his search for the other groom. Charlie sits down with “Two Dears and a Queer” wedding planners, scouts out the perfect location for a proposal and tours the local bars and nightclubs in his quest for a husband. Episode 408 — Miami

Charlie turns up the heat in the Miami episode of Bump. He contemplates parties in Versace’s old mansion, hooks up with Brazilian male model, Rodiney Santiago for a photo shoot, quizzes hot, lesbian DJ, Citizen Jane, on the music scene, tries his hand at kite-surfing and tears up the town with a few local celebrity friends.

Episode 409 — Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

Host, Charlie David, works out the kinks of big city life in “The Nation’s Summer Capitol”, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Charlie starts off his exploration of this little gay town with a stop at Bad Hair Day for some spa time. He checks out the beach scene (including the local lifeguard competition), tries on designer beachwear, and gets a sneak peak at female impersonator Christopher Peterson’s latest show. Charlie tops off the episode with an evening of antics reveling in the nightlife of Rehoboth Beach.

Charlie David gets a lesson in Swiss German in our Zurich episode. He savours a coffee and the view that Einstein once enjoyed at the gay-friendly Café Odeon, works out with the Swiss Gayrobics team, checks out the local beaches and drops by G-Colors, Zurich’s gay hotel, bar and nightclub complex.

Charlie David scopes out the birthplace of the industrial revolution, Manchester, UK. He takes a gay heritage tour to brush up on the queer history, learns about the incredible success of Manchester Pride, shares a drink with Adam Zane, of the UK series, Queer As Folk, and slides on his water wings for a swim with the Manchester Gay Water Polo team. Charlie’s visit also includes a tour of the Canal St. gay village to delve into Mancunian nightlife – including a stop at the late night greasy spoon, McTucky’s.

Host, Charlie David is on a quest to discover exactly what IS under those kilts in our Glasgow episode. His tour stops include: a chat with the producer of Glasgay (Glasgow’s annual celebration of queer culture), lacing up his skates with the Glaswegian Roller derby girls, trying out for the HotScots gay football team, and dropping down a wee pint or two with the lads and lasses in Merchant City, Glasgow’s gay quarter. Episode 415 — Dallas, Texas

Charlie David drops into the Lavender Heart of Texas for our Dallas episode. He’s just in time for the local Pride Parade and party. But Dallas has much more to offer a gay or lesbian traveler, including a gay Rugby team (the Dallas Diablos), a gay oriented housing development called The Ilume Complex, and plenty of Texas size entertainment happening on “The Strip”, the local gay neighbourhood. Everything really is bigger in Texas. But its lavender heart makes it better in Texas.

Episode 416 — Curacao

While much of the Caribbean isn’t known as gay friendly, the island of Curacao offers Dutch attitude with Caribbean latitude – and relishes its diversity. Host, Charlie David, explores the many charms of this island getaway. He SCUBA dives with dolphins, revs up the engine on his ATV, sips colourful cocktails on the hotel beach and parties with the locals for Gay Curacao Plasa’s “Get Wet Weekend”.

Episode 417 — Cape Town

South Africa was the first country in the world to outlaw discrimination based on sexual orientation. So it’s not surprising that Charlie David finds such an amazing scene here in her Mother City. Charlie tears himself away from the gay beach long enough to explore the shopping at the V& A Waterfront. After a stunning drive along the coast, he indulges in a little wine tasting before popping in to visit Elton John’s South African home away from home, Le Residence. Charlie fuels up with a traditional meal at the Africa Café and then it’s time to kick off the nightlife in Cape Town.

Episode 418 — African Safari

Charlie David lands in what is considered the Heart of Civilization – and embarks on an adventure like no other. On a true African Safari in Kruger Park, run by Out2Africa – a gay friendly tour operator in South Africa. Charlie gets up close and personal with the most ‘wild life’ he’s ever encountered and his heart is warmed beyond compare by the generosity and beauty of the people he meets. He dines in the bush on the most luscious of foods and stays at the most luxurious lodges, complete with private pools and outdoor showers. To cap things off, Charlie swims in Devil’s Pool on the edge of Victoria Falls for the most breathtaking view known on earth.

Episode 419 — Maui

Host, Shannon McDonough dives into the Hawaiian way of life on the island of Maui. She signs up for Bonnie Friedman’s “Tour Da Food” for an “off the tourist path” culinary adventure. She checks out the gay beach scene. Then, it’s off to Wailuku town for a chat with the “Morning Goddess” Alaka’i Paleka. Shannon’s cultural investment continues with lessons in Stand Up Paddling AND Hawaiian language before topping off the evening with steamy cocktails at the Tiki bar of Hawaii’s “most Hawaiian Hotel”.

It’s time to hang loose in Honolulu for host, Shannon McDonough. Adjusting to Island life involves a Hawaiian makeover at the luscious outdoor Ala Moana shopping centre, Hula lessons at the Royal Hawaiian Center, surf lessons on the beach and a cooking lesson with Chef Chai at his popular resto. She manages to save up just enough energy to explore the piping hot nightlife of this tropical paradise.

Episode 421 — Las Vegas

This dazzling desert town bills itself as the “Entertainment Capitol of the World”. And from casinos to call girls, burlesque babes to the fruit loop, there are many reasons why “what happens here, stays here”. Our hostess with the mostest, Shannon McDonough, tries out her showgirl skills, chats with the Wynn/Encore’s LGBT concierge and treks through the Red Rock Canyon with Pink Jeep Tours. Since Vegas is all about “living large”, Shannon enlists the help of a personal shopper at Crystals at City Centre and tries on a few Crystals of her own. Of course, there’s just as much going on at night as there is during the day, so after catching up with headliner Frank Marino backstage, Shannon tears up the town with a few local hotties along the way.

The biggest little city in the world has a reputation for eccentricity. They’ve always been a little different here. A little wilder. A little woollier. Sometimes a little otherworldly. And that might explain some of Shannon’s activities here in Reno. She braves a mountain on a snowshoe expedition. Indulges in a shower filled spa treatment. Gets lost in her enormous luxury resort. And invests in a little culture – Reno style – at the National Automobile museum. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Bump episode without a little nightlife, which Shannon rounds off with a little underground cage dance. Welcome to Reno.

Episode 423 — Antwerp

When you’re thinking of European “centers of gayness”, this little city of fashionistas may not be top of your mental list. But Charlie David is determined to uncover its gay wonders and begins with soaking up the old world charm in one of the many intimate cafes which line the winding cobblestone streets. Since Antwerp is a fashion mecca, Charlie indulges in his favourite sport, with the help of a personal shopper. For the active tourist, Charlie drops in on the gay sports group, Active Company, and tests his skills with a shuttlecock. This is an excellent warm up for his evening of dancing and gallivanting around the surprising array of gay bars and discos.

This city is a dichotomy. While unarguably trendy, modern and vibrant, this particular part of the world also possesses one of the most violent histories of any place on earth. And it’s located in the midst of the constant strife and discord of today’s Middle East. So how is it that, in the birthplace of the 3 great, monotheistic religions, this country is one of the most advanced gay-liberation nations in the world, and this – her modern cultural capitol – one of the hottest and most liberal gay cities? Find out, as Charlie David explores the many adventures that await the LGBT tourist in Tel Aviv.
