Welcome to the outrageous world of the Elgin Charles Salon, where the raucous gossip of the black beauty shop meets the glitz of Beverly Hills. Located just off of Rodeo Dr., Elgin’s salon has been a magnet for a who’s who of celeb clientele. And now our skilled stylist is taking his brand to the next level and won’t stop until “Elgin Charles” is a household name!

Here’s the problem: when you’re Elgin, finding time to get anything done is next to impossible. Between keeping his clients happy, meeting with distributors for his product line, and raising his teenage son, Frank, Elgin barely has time to breathe. So if the self-proclaimed, “Emperor of Hair,” is going to realize his dreams, he’ll have to rely on the three talented but high-maintenance stylists who make up his staff.

There’s Sean, the opinionated rising star who’s determined to run his own shop someday; Lolita, the Compton native whose sense of humor is as twisted as her weaves; and Katrina, the new girl from Kansas, who’s desperate to land a celebrity client.

When they venture out of the salon, Elgin and the crew will hit Beverly Hills boutiques and restaurants with abandon, living lives that are as glamorous as their clients’!

Over the last twenty years, Elgin Charles has done and seen it all in the hair business. His quest to create a hair empire will take him into uncharted waters, with surprises that are shocking, hilarious, and always — Fabulous!

Episode 101 — Pilot/Sean’s Assistant

Welcome to Elgin Charles of Beverly Hills, the prestigious black hair salon located in the heart of the world famous 90210 zip code. In the premiere episode, Elgin must juggle his plans to find a 2nd salon location, handle his A-list clients, and deal with a crew of stylists able to simultaneously cause drama and comedy at the drop of a hat.

Episode 102 — Elgin’s Product Line

Elgin meets with a series of consultants who have some seriously out-of-the-box ideas to launch his product line. Katrina gets to work her hair magic on a deserving mom in desperate need of a makeover. Sean puts his new assistant, Syreeta, through boot camp, and Lolita finds herself the unwilling object of a Hollywood tour bus driver's affections.

Episode 103 — Community Service

To give back, Elgin and Katrina go to a local community center to speak to kids but find that winning them over isn't as easy as they thought. Back at the salon, Lolita deals with a pushy bridal party while Sean tries to fend off a drop-in by a health inspector.

Episode 104 — Hey Hey! It’s Jackée

On a lunch date, Elgin gets mixed signals when his ex-wife Jackée offers him an intriguing proposition. And desperate to find a reason to attend a Florida hair show, Lolita and Katrina start a text war with a rival salon in Miami.

Episode 105 — Welcome to Miami!

Elgin and the gang jet to South Beach to compete in a mano a mano hair battle with a smack-talking Florida salon. Before they hit the stage, though, Katrina grapples with a really bad hair day, Sean goes on a date with a hunky wrestler, and Elgin seriously considers opening a second salon in the Sunshine state.

Episode 106 — Too Much Infomercial

Elgin and ex-wife, Jackée, agree to go into business together. Their first project? An infomercial for Elgin's product line! And on the stylists' side of the salon, Kat's claws come out when Sean's cocky assistant, Syreeta, begins to act like she runs the place.

Episode 107 — New Blood

In order to fill empty stations at the salon and expand his brand, Elgin decides to diversify and hire two new stylists: a smooth-talking barber and a beautiful blonde white hairdresser. No one’s happy about the change, least of all Sean. Meanwhile Sean’s assistant, Syreeta, continues to drive Katrina and Lolita insane!

Episode 108 — Satisfaction Not Guaranteed

The old saying “the customer’s always right” gets put to the test when two clients wreak havoc with Lolita and Katrina. And when Syreeta’s standing as Sean’s assistant gets questioned, Elgin has to make a crucial decision about her future with the salon.

Episode 109 — Face the Music

In the midst of making plans for his new salon location in Miami, Elgin gets frustrated when Sean goes AWOL from the salon to pursue his dream of being a singer. Meanwhile Lolita goes on a blind date with a doctor who makes a shocking suggestion about her weight.

Episode 110 — Finale/Sean’s Secret

Just days from leaving for Miami for the six-month task of opening his new South Beach location, Elgin still doesn’t know who should run Elgin Charles of Beverly Hills while he’s gone. His decision’s made even more difficult when Katrina, Sean, and Lolita go AWOL. Are Elgin’s stylists using his impending absence as an excuse to jump ship to a different salon?
