We all know season 8 of RuPaul’s Drag Race is finally here. And while the contestants are fierce, the fantastic judges remain a force to be recognized. Celebrity guest judges come and go, but the sharp style of Santino Rice, Michelle Visage, and the grand RuPaul are at the heart of the hit reality series.

No matter who your favorite judge is, Out.com’s #ThrowbackThursday post is reminding you of one more reason to seriously adore Michelle Visage. Take a trip back to 1992 and enjoy this ”Lovely Day” with Ms. Visage, preferably pool side. And, surrounded by some of those hunky models.

Honestly, we don’t know how this gem slipped our collective memory. Or maybe some of the Drag Race audience is just too young to remember this juicy 90’s pop culture tidbit? Regardless, let’s note that RuPaul isn’t the only one with a hit song and video under his chic-as-hell belt!

Long before Visage was playing fairy drag mother, she was a hip-hop singer with not one, but two, 90’s hits. Visage rocked it as a member of S.O.U.L. S.Y.S.T.E.M. (above) and in the R&B girl group Seduction. Seduction gave us the club hit, “Two To Make It Right.”

Even though she had hit songs, things didn’t really click for Visage until she met RuPaul. “When I met Ru, from the day I saw him, I knew there was something,” she told The Daily Beast last year. “I couldn’t explain it. I saw him, he saw me: ‘Hey girl, hey girl.’ But I knew something was going to happen.” From there, Visage joined Ru as his radio show co-host and later, on TV.

The rest, is drag history.
