Brush off those cowboy boots. Lady Gaga goes country with her new single.
The Monster Mother has been bucking expectations on her Bud Light Dive Bar Tour. Continuing to experiment with country music, Gaga drops a fun country-pop single with “A-Yo.”
The “Born This Way” singer penned the alt country tune with Mark Ronson (“Uptown Funk”), BloodPop, and “Girl Crush” scribe Hillary Lindsey. “A-Yo” hails from her latest album, Joanne, which has the dance diva showcasing a decidedly more down home sound. Out.com is calling the lyrics Lady Gaga’s “bluesiest, most cowboy-ish” ever, as she brags she’s “smokin’ them all” and casts her country spell on fans.
Of course, Gaga was decked out for the occasion. The pop superstar wore a baby pink Stetson hat, and big shoulder pads in her bejeweled blazer for the down home performance of “A-Yo.” This marks the first ever performance of “A-YO,” live from Nashville at the first stop on the Bud Light x Lady Gaga Dive Bar Tour.
The crooning country ballad, “Million Reasons,” has already connected with Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters. While another single off Joanne, “Perfect Illusion,” fills the dance hit need for her fans.
